Looking for free tools to help you and your mentee learn about the college search process? Check out Big Future (https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/), the College Board’s free online college planning website.
Big Future is designed to support students in grades 9-12 with the college and postsecondary planning process. For example, 11th grade students might benefit from using this feature to help them identify what factors they are looking for in their college experience, while 9th and 10th grade students might find the slides and videos about types of colleges most helpful. The website also offers tools to engage in career exploration, as well as educational resources on financial aid and paying for college.
Mentors and mentees are encouraged to review these resources together during in-person or virtual meetings this spring.
