Student Spotlight: Alan Alvarez
Alan Alvarez, a 2019 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School, is part of the Montgomery County Ohio College Promise Program. Alan graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2021 with an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. He then graduated from Wright State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Crime and Justice.
The college experience allowed Alan to make the necessary connections to help him with his future career. He is grateful to his mentor and the College Promise program for making sure he was on track for success in high school and had the help he needed to complete his college education. Alan shared, “College Promise has not only helped me reach my goals, but they have also made my dreams come true.”
Alan encourages others to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them. He recently completed the Police Academy at Sinclair Community College and is now serving as an officer for Dayton Police Department. We applaud his efforts and thank him for his service.
