Student Spotlight: Carson Powell
Carson Powell is a Montgomery County Ohio College Promise Scholar. Carson graduated from Valley View High School in 2022. He then graduated from Miami University (Oxford) in 2025 with a double major in Human Capital Management & Leadership and Business Analytics.
Carson is grateful to the College Promise program for giving him the opportunity to focus on education and professional development without the stress of finances. At Miami, he enjoyed meeting and building relationships with people from across the country, as well as learning from professors who challenged them to think differently and grow both personally and professionally.
He shared, “I am passionate about continuous learning, hard work, and helping others succeed. As a first-generation college graduate, earning my degree was a goal I worked toward for many years, and I hope my story shows other students that with determination, support, and the right opportunities, they can accomplish their goals as well.”
Carson now works for Winsupply in Moraine, where he recently earned a promotion as Senior Inventory Analyst. In this role, he leads a team that focuses on data analytics, process improvement, automation, and inventory management. He is excited to grow his career while pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at The Ohio State University, which he will begin this fall.
We are amazed by all Carson has accomplished and wish him the best as he continues along his journey.
